This is our favorite local restaurnat. Food is outstanding. The Pub is quaint. The wait staff is very cordial.

We arrived only 10 minutes before lunch time was over, and they were very accommodating to us. We were seated in front of the fireplace. Our food was delicious and our server was excellent!
Excellant food. Very small portions on the dinner menu. We were told twice when making our reservation that the pub menu was always avail. This was not an option when we arrived. Very short staffed. Our waiter a gem but unable to attend to our table as needed. After an hr of being seated, we still had only water on our table. Not his fault...poor guy was stretched to the limits.
Food was mediocre and too expensive for the quality and quantity. They charge too much for the ambiance.

The main course went back 3 times and it was not cooked properly
Waitress was not properly trained. She was pleasant but did not check on us enough. We were waiting for a second glass of wine, bread,etc. She never confirmed that all was ok after the entree was served.
Food is always excellent. The Shepards Pie is delicious. Atmosphere and service are warm and inviting.

I have loved this place since 1961. Always a treat the one time a year we are in Middlebury. The scallops with citrus mint sauce were fabulous.

Not only is the location quiet, beautiful and rural, but the inn itself is gorgeous and decorated perfectly! The food was amazing, unique soups and delicious main course!

breakfast brunch--no carving station, awful tasting omelets, couldn't find any jam, $3.00 for coffee. Just worst brunch ever.

I eat a plant based whole food diet and the Waybury Inn always has a plant-based special with healthy ingredients. They also have a plant based entree on their standard menu.

It is a leisurely dining establishment but it was VERY leisurely this past time. Maybe a little short staffed?
Loved the atmosphere of the Inn. The dinners were very good but the soup special and salad special were outstanding.
She was very attentive. Water glasses never ended up empty, neither did drinks. She was very quick to be able to offer anything that we needed.

Their Sunday brunch is wonderful. Elegant but unpretentious.
We absolutely loved the food. Unfortunately for my hearing-impaired husband a large, noisy group came in to dine just as we received our entrees. After that, our conversation was limited due to the noise level in the dining room. We understand that this was in no way the fault of the Inn, but it did detract from us enjoying our dinner out. We will try again on another night!
Everyone chose different dinners and we added appetizers. Everything was delicious and the help were very obliging and friendly (as always).
waitress was 'new'. Didn't tell us about any specials until we asked & then gave us the salad & soup special. We ordered from the menu & then heard our neighbors given the meat & fish 'specials'. The trout was overcooked & dry with the skin soggy. Disappointed. Margaritas excellent.
Bartender was very helpful...kept running our drinks over to us even though we had a server!
The goat cheese appetizers are to die for, as always. Literally, I would die for them. And the staff are SO, SO NICE.

Everything was outstanding!
We came right before the kitchen closed (my husband arrived a little bit after--we thought it closed at 9:30), but they made an exception and still let us order food--THEY WERE SO NICE TO US EVEN THOUGH WE WERE HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMERS TO COME SO LATE
great salmon
My husband said his steak was the best he had ever had. My appetizer was tasty but my meal was not hot. The dinner rolls over cooked but we still had a good time anyway.
