Our waitress/bartender was fantastic. Joe Pisa cooked our wings to perfection.
We were there during the Bills game and even though it was busy, Erica did an excellent job taking care of us! We didn't have to ask for anything, she was right on top of it refilling our drinks! Our appetizer was out quickly and hot. The famous wings were perfectly crispy and not over sauced. The pizza was hot and chewy. That's what keeps us coming back. Great food, excellent service and friendly neighborhood atmosphere!
We dined for a girls lunch because we brought my Cousin here for fish fry & had a small order of wings so she could try the best in NY! (She lives inBuffaki & has tried other wings)She was hooked! So when we decided on a Girls Lunch she wanted to go to the Sportsman! We shared Nancy's Combo, wings & shrimp!Our server/cook/barmaid cooked our food to perfection! It came out piping hot and crispy! The service was exceptional and we didn't want for anything! Love the friendly atmosphere! We would love to see earlier opening hours. We are early risers on the weekend and would stop for lunch if it was open like regular lunch hours 11:00-11:30. That is my only complaint.
Very small local bar/restaurant. Great wings! Not as spicy as some, but enjoyable.
We went for Friday fish fry and took my Cousin for her first time, We couldn't let her miss out on the best chicken wings around, so we ordered some as an appetizer along with mushrooms. The wings were cooked perfectly and crispy like always. The mushrooms were crispy and both served with their famous blue cheese! The fish was perfect. Not over battered and melt in your mouth flaky. The server was very busy attentive to our needs and we didn't want for anything. She loved the food and can't wait to come back and visit so she can try more great food. She is hooked!
We were the first patrons in the restaurant today until just before we left. The waitress, who was also the cook and the bartender, greeted us and got our drinks immediately. We then ordered, asked for a few special touches and our orders were out and delicious. The waitress came back to the table a couple of times to see if we needed anything. The food was outstanding and we were very satisfied.

Small restaurant, not much atmosphere, but food is excellent, and waitress was also the cook. Does more business in summer-is near the lake with lots of cottages around. Waitress was very friendly and eager to please. Great experience.
KATHY was a great waitress and the fish fry was delicious
The Lobster was tough the crackers where stall but the service was good. Also the parking was either down the street or across the street

It took a long time to get our bill once we were done.
2 people waited for their meal quite a long time. They counted the number of sandwiches incorrectly.We were almost finished eating before they were served.
I decided to take 1 star off because the bad condition of the building and features, it's aging, little is being done to keep it up it seems.
Friendly, family atmosphere. Always look forward to catching up with the regulars.
Laura was lovely and got our meals out without rushing the salad or soup.
The Sportsman has the best wings around. We have been going for tears and are never disappointed! We love their mushrooms & Nancy combo are must haves. Not to forget the Friday fish fry! Beef on weck, chicken tenders. So much to choose from, you have to go often. We love the local atmosphere. If you don't try the Sportsman, you are missing out!
Easy to order, seemless pick up.
Every Time we go they forget our order and we have to wait for almost an hr. for our wings. We get the same waitress every time. Shes awesome. She always makes up for it. Worth the wait. Best wings i ever had.And way better than the Anchor Bar!
best Chinese food in Atlanta
Open only 1 evening per week (Wed) for their dinner buffet. Ribs were so fall off the bone tender and very meaty. Homemade desserts. Lots of other main course entrees. Always very good.

Wed. is only evening hours they have which includes a buffet. It is excellant. Homemade desserts and tender meaty BBQ ribs were 2 of the many featured items.
We did not have chicken wings on this visit but their wings are the best anywhere!

My husband and I seated ourselves. We waited over 20 minutes before the server asked if we would like a beverage. It took another 10 minutes to get our beverage, and another 25 minutes to get our food. The food was horrible. My husband and I ordered the same dish -- Roast beef on bread w/gravy and French fries. The French fries were OK, the beef slices were overdone and the gravy tasted like it came out of a tin-can, and the bread was thin - straight out of the bag.

The resturant had only 2 individuals working the day we dined there; a server who also served as a hostess and bartender and the cook. Because there were not enough employees to adequately serve the number of patrons, the service was extremely slow.
Wings are the best deal here, and very, very good. Bartender was of great service.
Not enough staff so foodcame out plate by plate instead of altogether we all got our food at different times
The Beef on Wech was excellent. A small local neighborhood bar.
After being away from the area for 30 yrs, it was good to find that our favorite place was still there with the great food and friends we missed. The food .was still as. g.ood as we remembered. We have to get our weekly wing "fix" and fish fry.We love the neighborhood comradery and Linds alwas takes good care of us. The best "Buffalo wings" are not iin Buffalo, they are at The Sportsman!

cole slaw and potato salad was very good, fish came out hot but I don't care for the skin. Bread could have been fresher.
My friend and I went to Sportman Restaurant for Chicken Wings. They were cooked perfectly. The waitress was a little swamped when we first got there yet she still found the time to be tentative to us.
1 server handling 5-10 plus patrons is not acceptable....we were stuck there 45 min longer than we needed to be waiting on the server to come back and cash us out. Obviously the stress caused her to not be as friendly has she should have been

We ordered the chicken wings (crisp and well flavored), beef on weck (not in-house made beef, but pretty tasty and generously portioned) and fried chicken (crisy coating, 4 pieces, good flavor). We would return.
