Everything was wonderful! The ONLY complaint I would say that I have is that there were too many waiters. One would ask us if we needed more rice then left to get it while another came to ask if we needed more rice. Things like this happened multiple times because there were too many people trying to serve us.

We have been coming to Nawab since we moved to Roanoke 14 years ago. It is where we go for pretty much any special occasion. The service is always top notch. The food is like no other.

OUR ORDER HAD 2 DIFFERENT BIRYANI DISHES.THE WAITER GAVE US MORE PLAIN RICE AND RAITA. ALL ITEMS WERE DELICIOUS. THE WAITER WAS VERY ATTENTIVE. JUST FINDING PARKING IS TROUBLESOME TO FIND.BUT ALL WAS WELL.

This was my first time using restaurant.com . The thing that my girlfriend and I were a little shocked by, was the server added 18-20% gratuity to our check without asking. Was he supposed to do this? He would have gotten more money by not doing so. We had a large bill for two people. We both worked years in the restaurant industry as servers, and bartenders in college. We understand that it can be hard work and always tip very well, as long as we have a polite server.So, we really only had $.76 cents in savings. The server would have gotten at least a $25 tip. I left it as is, since he added his own $20 tip. The coupon said only to add gratuity to large parties.The money is not a big deal whatsoever, just the way they handled the gratuity was unprofessional and was the opposite of what the coupon said. I wanted to let him know that he just lost money, but we left it as is. We are both 37 years old and were dressed to impress for a date night. Thanks.

We didn't tell them ahead that it was my birthday, but our server figured it out and brought a plate of delicious mango ices for dessert, the plate read "Happy B'Day " in chocolate around the edges, to be shared by the table. Excellent food and service, as always.

As always, Nawab continues to serve excellent Indian cuisine in a very tasteful atmosphere. As an Indian, this is my preferred Indian food destination in Roanoke. The chicken tikka masala is fantanstic, rich creamy and flavorful with large perfectly prepared pieces of tandoori chicken. Pair this with the garlic naan and you won't be disappointed. The paneer sagwala (creamed pureed spinach) is just as decedent. Service is good, but there can be a longer wait if its busy, like a Friday night. If you are in the roanoke area and craving delicious Indian food, be sure and come here

We had the best experience at Nawab. The atmosphere was calming and enjoyable, the music was ethnic and fun, the food was amazing and every where we turned there were smiling faces ready to serve. I give it five stars! we are definitely returning!

We went here for my son's graduation dinner. It was great, but with a party of 5 we were automatically charged gratutity for an amount way over what I would normally pay (25%) for that kind of service. I have never left a 25% tip before. The restaurant was good, but I won't be returning because of this.

Even though the restaurant was not busy, it was very noisy. I had a hard time hearing the server. We had a table next to the window, and we suspect it was reflecting the sound.

My boyfriend and I waited over ten minutes to have our drink order taken, but we were completely ignored. We had to flag a waiter down just to get them to approach our table.

Nawab is a wonderful Indian restaurant in the Market Square section of Roanoke. The dining area is minimally, but tastefully decorated with photographs from around India. The dishes are wonderful and flavorful. Along with some of the standard Indian dishes like saag paneer and butter chicken, they have a vegetable mango curry and their own take on vegetable pakora. Along with a buffet, Nawab has plenty of choices for your craving for great Indian food
