I had a wonderful family dinner with ten less than a year ago. So I thought I’d go back and recreate they great faire. First let me say the appetizer sizes are great. Their calamari was fresh and the nacho supreme was done well with all the sides. The blackened salmon was fabulous, perfectly done as requested med. rare although the balsamic reduction was omitted then disputed by the waitress until she rechecked the menu. The eggplant parmigiana was done nicely but I prefer the sauce a little more cooked or heartier and less watery (As there was a small puddle of light red liquid on each side of the eggplant dish). Bartender was Friendly and attentive.

La Familia has a friendly atmosphere, great staff and always has a decent crowd. You have the dining area or bar area to eat and quick draw for a little fun, it is a great place with great food.

I had eggplant rolatine with spinach, which was very bland and salty. My wife had chicken parm and one of the two chicken cutlets was undercooked.

The whole restaurant including the dining room smells like cigarette smoke. It was so bad this time I thought someone was smoking in the dining area. When I left the building I realized the smell was coming from outside where people from the bar were standing outside the door with the door wide open. The smoke actually ruined my meal even though the food was quite good

Portions could be larger for a tasty $19. chicken/crab/shrimp plate. 2 shrimp andimitation crab is not crab.Bar area looks inviting.(didnt go)
Ribs had a smokeyness, that you can't wash off your hands, other than that they were very tasty.
The waitress, ashley was great. Appetizers was also excellent. The entre fell short slightly because it did not come out as hot as it should have. It seemed like it was cooked before the second entre was complete. It still was a nice dinner and will dine here again.

The pulled pork smelled off not sour but almost like they'd cooked the meat too long. We had to smother it with our bbq sauce from the store theirs was a little to tangy and not to my family's liking. We ate the meat and it definitely was cooked too long. I'd probably go back if the meat wasn't tough and burned in large portions. As I was leaving a lady recommend I try the ribs next time...
Keep the doors closed to the bar area to separate the dining area.
I had chicken parm and it was delicious. my sister had a penne with sausages, peppers and onions and she really enjoyed it.
Service was awesome. Lobster mac and cheese our all time favorite :-) drinks... yum.
food quality good, service sloooow, food was warm when delivered, we were the only 2 in dining room when we arrived. @ diners came in about 7-8 minutes after us and they were served, ate and left and we were only half finished. Gave server coupon half way through meal, when we asked for bill it took her a long time to bring the check, way too long.
The wait was long, around 45 mins for a table... and we made the mistake of splitting up into two tables for four...
Really great food ,a wonderful owner and a nice time. We were regulars at Margaretas in Carmel and this is the owners new venture. She works hard and makes sure all runs smoothly. A true Mom and Pop that is very welcoming.
