Love the 3 meat selections. The smoky sausage links are really good and love the sauces. But cocktails are expensive.

The food and customer service are always outstanding. We have never been disappointed when we come here and we do it quite often.
BEST lunch value in Addison! $6.75 for entree + 3 sides + Texas Toast. Always has Chicken Fried Steak and a fried fish; third entree choice varies daily. Western steak was really good. Fried okra is awesome.
A wonderful selection on the daily lunch menu. Chicken Tortilla Casserole is SO yummy!
The place looks old but relatively clean. We could not eat all the food we got to cover the coupon value. We will go again.

J's is simply the best old time diner I have ever found. I drive 20 miles one way to eat there.
This is an old fashioned diner that has been around forever. We eat here probably 3-5 months. We have been doing breakfast for around 7 years. The staff is friendly on all shifts and theres tons of personality. There's even a smoking section. Food is always good and fast. Prices are excellent!

I had breakfast with my wife and our 13 months-old baby girl. Our waitress, Faith, was super nice and attentive the whole time. She was friendly, efficient and she gave us time to be comfy with the baby and order. Food was amazing, perfectly cooked (plenty of choices for a really good price) and we had a great time. We'll be back soon.
I loved the monster burger, but my companion thought the meat undercooked - guess the waitress might want to ask about diner's preferences on this
This place was not very clean. The place needs renovation. Smoking is a problem if you r a non smoker.

My guest said his CFS was probably the best he'd ever had. The veggie/beef soup was souper, but the brown gravy stole the honors.TIP: Serve the salad in a larger bown. Presently, one cannot stir the seasoning/dressing into the salad without making a huge mess (little bitty bowl stacked HIGH) Overall - great service and super food
The customer service is the best any where
not my idea size of a giant burger and my other cheeseburger meat was still red in the inside. Not enough fries and the soda tasted flat

The service was really good, it was quiet and we had a really sweet server that catered to our every need. The food was amazing. I ordered a chicken fried steak meal and the soup was really good and the rest of the food was the best I have ever had. Best french fries, best chicken fry, best tater tots, the food was simply amazing and you cannot beat the price. We will definitely be back.

Everything was good, I wouldn't say great, but good. Service was rushed a bit. Honestly it wasn't that busy. I'm neutral on the service issue, as long as my order gets to me in a timely manner I really don't care. What I was disappointed with was our to go order. We ordered 2 more jalapeño breakfast taco dinners and they were nothing like what we had just had at the table. Less than half of what the original had. You can tell everything was quickly throw together. Hashbrowns were almost raw. To sum it up, we would eat here again but never ask for a to go order.
Servers were polite and inviting. Operating in a very casual manner, very engaging making you feel welcome. Pancakes were good.

I had grits and steak and eggs and potatoes. I wouldn't order steak again. Everything else was very good except for the toast which was limp. The Decaf coffee was excellent. Service was good. This restaurant is in Addison and has smoking and non smoking areas.

I ordered the T-bone steak meal. The steak did not have any seasoning on it and the meat was of poor quality. I was told the salad was old and the waitress had not had time to replace it, so I ordered the vegetable soup. It only had potatoes and about a teaspoon of cooked ground beef. Also, the broth of the soup was not good. The home fries were good, but too salty. The bottom crust of the cherry pie was not cooked. The iced tea was good. I believe I should have ordered breakfast. Also, I think the air conditioner was not working.

I had a great experience here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and felt welcomed. The restaurant was clean, my food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly. I will go there again.
Only complaint is that they allow smoking in the front, and I still smell a little like smoke when I sit in the non-smoking section.
I have always enjoyed J's for a late night meal and enjoy my sunday after church breakfast.

Prices were mostly incorrect on the website - apparently hadn't been updated in more than 2 years. Bread on patty melt was burnt. Decor is so run down that it's off-putting. Hamburgers and hamburger-steak were good. Tater tots okay, not as good as Sonic's. It's bad form to not update the pricing on the website whenever prices go up. This is a major negative.

Great food, cheap prices. The Chicken Fried Steak was so tender you could almost eat it without any teeth! They also offer eggbeaters, but could use some sugar-free jellies.

they have a smoking area and it was very difficult to breath. Even though i was sitting way in the back (supposed non-smoking area) I still could feel all the smoke. They should stop accepting smokers.
A great little diner with excellent home cooking. I would go again in a heart beat if they didn't allow smoking. But they are in Addison and Addison is still very backwards and allows smoking in restaurants so I will not be going back to J's.

My co-workers and I went there for lunch. The food was overcooked and the restaurant reeked of smoke. It was a very miserable experience.

This is a smoking establishment and it certainly smelled it. It really stinks in the restarant with all the second hand smoke. Cannot recommend this place to anyone. The food and service was very good, service was OK. But who whats to suffer through all the 2nd hand smoke.

This was the first time we'd used the coupon in prime-time (1am Friday), and were a bit disturbed that the waitstaff didn't want to accept it, claiming that they would have trouble processing it.
