My mother's Reuben was very good, or so she said. My salmon nicnoise was very fishy, probably canned salmon. I couldn't eat it.

The staff at Dale Street Bistro were amazing. Super welcoming, ready to answer questions, prompt and attentive. They offer a good variety of food, and the dishes we chose were delicious. I can’t say enough about the friendly, joyful staff!

Server was pushy wanting us to order when we asked just for a little more time seemed like she got an attitude, never checked to see how the food was or filled our drinks.
The restaurant is located in an old victorian house and is quaint and cozy. The place was spotless. We sat on an enclosed porch area with lots of windows. The service was excellent and there were certain aspects of the food that was great but it was my mistake ordering fish. I think something else would have been better and I immediately regretted my choice once the plate arrived.
Both service and food was very good. My wife and I felt the same.
whether I sit outside or in, your restaurant is always welcoming, lovely, and clean. I do enjoy the outside gardens and the art work inside.

The salad was nicely presented and fresh. The artichoke soup was bland with only one piece of artichoke. We were only people there for awhile. Another party of four were seated right next to us when there were many tables available, even in another room. This made our conversation difficult. So we left. Maybe that was the point since we used the coupon.??

Good service, tho one person kept asking for coffee refill and request was not granted. Waitress was otherwise on the ball. She should, however be taught not to reach in front of one diner to give another an item.
ambiance was wonderful! cute restored home near downtown. but my soup was barely warm. I was the first customer of the day. the chicken on my salad had a burnt taste.and the key lime pie was out of a box. i think the place has potential. I will try it again because I loved the setting. I sat by the fireplace
Good food, but a few odd things. No one was there when we came in, some soft music would have been nice, need to clean windows very badly.

It was our 6th wedding anniversary and we loved the ambiance and food! Love these little places off the beaten paths! The only issue we had was they added gratuity to a table of 4 and I didn't think that was right!

Excellent lunch dishes. Squash Ravioli and Blackened Chicken pizza were second to none. Very friendly staff! Setting is very much Colorado Springs.

Food was very good. We had two different meals: Blackend Salmon and Parmesan Encrusted Trout, all of which were good. Bread pudding was excellent dessert.
We really should have been informed of the staffing shortage when we arrived. Everyone tried their best but it took us 100 min. to dine w/o desert and even then we wolfed down our entrees so we could get to the Philharmonic on time. That ruined what had the potential to be a fine dining experience. Moreover, I ordered a Ceasar salad but received a house salad (very good) but didn't dare ask to have it corrected due to the time crunch and we'd ordered two glasses of wine but only received one. Our server was simply overwhelmed.
A great restaurant! Smallish, cozy, very good food and service, good prices. Vocalist on guitar on Friday nights - excellent. This was our first meal there but we'll be back often.

The food was OK, The environment was very run down. Service was slow. Owner was not willing to change my soup for salad. When I found the cream of artichoke soup serarated and watered down with no flavor. She argued with me about NOT charging me for the salad to repolace. WOW. I did not think I was asking too much.

Very pleasant wait staff and good food.
I was disappointed in the expereionce level of the server. For a moderte to high priced establishment, with dinner entrees approaching $20, my meal delivery was rushed, entree arrived, while eating the first course. Also selected a bottle of wine, and the server poured, filling both glasses, without a sample first. This is the first time I ever encountered this, in a higher priced restaurant.

food was good but portions were small considering the price. Automatic 20% tip erased the benefit of the coupon which was geared for a party of two. The level of service only warranted a 10-15% tip.

The food was not up to par as it has in the past. Portions were very much smaller. NOthing to write home about. There was very little salmon in the salmon pasta, maybe a 2 inch square busted up.

Super dining experience
Our food was under-seasoned. It had so much potential but needs to have the salt added during the cooking process. Adding salt at the table just doesn't work; it just tastes like salt. Seasonings need to be added at every level of cooking so the end product tastes fantastic. We ordered the Wild at Heart pasta and the Artichoke soup. Same story on both of these. The chicken/pecan quiche was well seasoned.

I was very surprised and disappointed that 20% gratuity was added to my check without my approval. I have never seen this occur for a 2 person party, especially from the owner of the restaurant. Not cool.

We have been going to Dale St. Cafe for years. We only went on that particular day because of the coupon instead of elsewhere to use our coupon.

Saw this on restautant.com and purchased as we were visiting the Springs to see our daughter... the restaurant is right down the street from her house. Lovely cosy setting. Meals were good service great. the only thing is that they had a free bottle of wine with 4 dinner entrees special. We ordered that not realizing we couldnt use that with our restuaruant.com deal. Not sure why as we did pay for this coupon as well. We ended up paying $16 for a very marginal bottle of wine but I guess it could have been worse as we were at their mercy. Overall a very pleasant experience. 'the icing on the cake was around 8:30 pm a bluegrass tri came in and started playing so GREAT music. the end to a very pleasant evening.

We dined at Dale Street when it opened over a decade ago, but had to move South soon after. We try to stop in whenever we can.
I ordered steak, the most expensive item on their menu and asked for it to be medium rare, but more rare than medium. The steak was so well done it was like leather. I told the wait person it was overcooked, but there wasn't even an apology or any notice taken by the waitress or the establishment. Very disappointing dining experience.

The food was below average. The piano player was bad. The wine list sub par. The restaurant has a lot of potential but it is not being met.

For a a very nice looking restaurant the service was tacky, when I asked for more sauce for my fish (which tasted prepackaged and overdone) the waitress came out with the bottle of sauce and squeezed it on my plate! Diners don't even do that!

This is the second time I've been to Dale Street. The first time was for lunch and it was excellent. This time was dinner and honestly the food was not great. I would not get the same meal again, and I was a bit disappointed.
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely go back.
The service was fantastic. The food presentation was wonderful. The main entree was alright (could have been seasoned better). And the desserts were absolutely beautiful. I'd say 7 out of 10 stars.
