Well a small restaurant attached onto a pizzaria with a fabulous Italian menu. Escarole and bean soup was great as well as our veal and fish dishes. This place is a surprise! Definitely going back soon!

We went there late during a lazy Sunday when there was almost no rush. Loved the view of the water and a couple of ducks swimming across. The food was great as expected.
The food was served hot, and waiter was excellent. Pricing was excellent & very competitive. My only complaint was that they did not serve Decafinated espresso.

Everything was just ok. The wait staff was very nice and polite but seemed to be new to the job. I had the chicken arriabatta. I have never seen that served in brown sauce before. Usually a light red. It was just ok. Everything else was not terrible but not great. Cannoli had cream on the ends but completely hollow in the middle

They didnt have the pork chops on the menu so I switched my order & they forgot to bring potatoes that were supposed to come with my entree although they did bring them after I asked & comped us a glass of wine which was nice of them. Food was good but not as good as we've had there in the past.
I brought a friend who had never been there before. We had Buffalo shrimp appetizer and a white pie (my favorite). It was excellent. Our server Chris even chilled my wine glass! Nice touch. And now you have gained
The food here is outstanding! The restaurant is adjacent to a little brook and our table is always at that window so we can enjoy the view. Really really enjoy the young man who takes care of us. He is courteous and always interested in our comfort

they was only one waiter/bartender working that Friday but he was so nice and helpful, the food was amazing too
Salad was excellent. We had the lasagna. Sauce good but way too much mozzarella. Will definitely go back and try something else.
Came back again and brought my cousins. Had the veal parm, wife had baked manicotti, cuz had eggplant parm and his wife had eggplant rollentini. Portions were large and delicious once again.

The waitress (if that's what you want to call her) was awful. She stayed in the pizza take out area texting rather than catering to her customers. I called the restaurant and they said she is really the phone girl, not a waitress (One can believe that). Do not judge this to the quality of the food. It is always amazing.
Even though there was s large party the wait staff never forgot about you. The experience as always was incredible. Love this place and the food is awesome
The food quality and portions are excellent. You get pretty good value for your money, and there are always promotions available. The wait staff was very pleasant, and provided excellent service. The reason that I rated a 4 and not a 5 is because the floors of the restaurant appeared to have a decent amount of food on it, from an earlier service, such as lunch.
The food is always great. Bit we did have to wait almost 1/2 hour for just the appetizers. We sat on the rear part of the restaurant which needs some serious TCL. There's no heat and paint peeling BUT the service is friendly and the great quality of the food overshadows the need for a fresh coat of paint. Our server Angela also let me in on a secret: there are menu items NOT listed on their printed in-house hand out. She recommended I try the risotto next time. Definitely will Angela!

The food is the best. You must try the mussels in red sauce as an appetizer. The soups are so fresh. Time is taken between courses to digest (you are not rushed). Saturday it's good to make a reservation. everything is top notch
Delicious Marsala sauce on veal- wings could have had a little more sauce on them though. Nice cozy atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. We though it was byob though which would have been a plus.

Very nice restaurant! Service was attentive and the food very tasty. Ambience was nice. Topped it all off with nice dessert of cannoli and raspberry cheesecake. Only complaint: no cappuccino. Prices are reasonable. We will be back!

They could not have been more accommodating
It took almost an hour to get our dinner. And there was no bread available until after our dinner while waiting for our check. We arrived at 630 and by then there was no bread. Then almost an hour for our appetizer with hardly any other customers present. It was absurd. The waitress was fine but the kitchen was ridiculously slow.
The food was delicious! I would have given it a 5 star if it wasn't for the shortage of wait staff. Should have more than 1 person to serve the whole restaurant.

Food was delicious. Bread was generous portion and nice and warm. Oil with spices and salt was amazing, but the little plate it came on had a big chip. Restaurant was also artic cold. A.c. was on full blast and made it uncomfortable. Online says restaurant closes at 11 so I got there at 845 and was surprised when the waitress mentioned they close at 930. Overall, I will return. I ordered the chicken arabiata and it was out of this world!

They didn't have any of the desserts we asked for. Classic one's an Italian restaurant should have. It was freezing cold, ask to move 3 times.

The service was slower than usual. It's usually so fantastic. There were 2 tables that were filled (which also included us). It took forever to get our appetizer and our main dish was completely wrong (the pasta end anyway). It was "righted" after the fact. Like I said - it's usually fantastic and the food and service is amazing.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The house salad had a mix ofgreens a few olives and a few pimentos. The waiter bartender Steve was great and very accommodating.

Perfect casual, neighborhood restaurant/ pizzeria offering more than the usual Italian dishes. The chicken Francaise and Fusilli Turano are fantastic. We've been coming to Casa for 20+ years.
2nd time I dined there and the food is wonderful and prices are good. I would go back even without a restaurant certificate
Very large portions. Pasta cooked perfectly. Excellent bread dipping oil. Service was outstanding even though Sal had a full restaurant. He handled it smoothly.
They were short staffed because 2 people didn't show up for work but they did their best to bring us our food as quickly as possible. The portions were ample.
Sal had a full restaurant yet everyone was attended to and served without delay. He gives everyone his undivided attention.

Service was pretty slow (in about 7:30 dinner served about 8:30), very poor clams oreganato, almost just bread crumbs on top of a clam, don't think there was any oregano or flavor in general. My wife liked the chicken franchese, I remember the shrimp scampi being a lot better the two times I have gotten it before, same for the cocktail shrimp. I've taken the time to right this and hope this helps you improve. I don't anticipate coming back, I'm from Secaucus and only eat here when in the area once or twice a year. Looked like a lot of people were ordering lasagna, anyway we really liked that it was quiet with good low music and you accept Rest.com, so I guess there's chance we'll be back. Hope this helps.
The three of us who went there ordered veal parmigiana and we all thought it was the best veal parmigiana we ever had. The sauce on the veal was excellent. Service was great. Salads were super. We can't wait to go back.
Food did not come to table as explained on menu..Chicken Giambotto was missing the chicken LOL When they brought out chicken it was not cooked..mozz carroza was smothered in gravy.It did not say that on the menu..tom and mozz was covered with pesto and that was not on the menu...will not go there again......I was told they had a new cook.....No apology given there will never go back there...

I LOVE CASA TURANO! I like the room in the back, by the river. I love their arugula salad with cranberries and walnuts, but I wish they offered feta cheese (although I understand an Italian restaurant not offering Greek cheese, but I don't like goat cheese).

The food is very good, and they will replace some foods for others. Only problem, they do not replenish their liquor, they were out of something in December when I was last there and they still don't have any.

Always has good food, only disappointment-they had a few christmas partys and did not replenish the uses liquor. We had very few to choose from.

I was unhappy with my entree, I order the same dish every time I visit this restaurant and this time the entree was totally tasteless. The waitress took it back and brought a new dish. The second dish was acceptable. Don't think I will return.
