We were reserved for a party of six at a table and we were asked to move to another table. Because we did, the waitress offered my husband and I a drink on the house. KUDOS!

It took at least 5 minutes for someone to seat us and another 5-10 minutes for someone to bring us a menu. A girl brought us water and we asked for menus, she said sure, walked right by the menus, came back to clear the table next to us, came back again to wipe it, still. no menus.

Great food selection/salad bar and prepared perfectly. Friendly, helpful staff made our celebration enjoyable. Also live entertainment as well. Outside seating is also very nice.

The food was good. We were taken care of by two waiters. The first one was very friendly, but the second one did not come across as too friendly. The experience over all was good.

The food and Sangria were excellent, as usual; but a special thank you goes to our waiter, Rodrigo. He was just fantastic. Great personality and very accommodating. We will be going back next month and we hope that Rodrigo will be our waiter again!

When we got there the restaurant was not busy, I ordered the sea bass, thought I was getting a nice piece of white fish, I got a whole fish with head attached, the fish did not smell fresh, the vegetables were cold, I sent it back and odered shrimp in garlic sauce, I got my dinner after about 1/2 hour wait, the shrimp were small, it don't know what kind of sauce it was in, it certainly was not garlic sauce.

Having read previous accounts of the food being very salty, we asked that they not salt, but was very salty anyway.

My Brazilian style steak was the best I've ever tasted. Prices were very reasonable. Our server Rodrigo was very friendly. He was very busy and very hardworking and still found time to chat with us and make us feel welcome, considering most of the customers were probably Brazilian. I would recommend this place to anyone. Parking was not a problem as the restaurant provided parking across the street where Wells Fargo is located-- The Ironside district in Newark is very festive and busy, and parking could be a problem. The music could have been turned down a bit to provide people the chance to hear each other. But overall it was a great experience.

My sister said whoever was cooking the chicken breast knew what he was doing - it wasn't overcooked, was moist and delicious. I love basil but can't say that I enjoyed the flavors in their basil tomato chicken salad - the strong red onion threw the flavors off. Wouldn't get this again.

The rolls they gave me were fantastic and the salad bar was one of the freshest salad bars Ive had in a long long time. My entree was good, just good not great but only because I made a poor choice and chose something I usually dont eat. The waitress pretty much forgot about me after bringing me my food. wlaked past me many times amd did not even look my way to see if I neede something even thoug I was waving my hand at her a few times. i finally flagged down a busboy to get my check after waiting more than 20 minutes after my table was cleared.

overall I enjoy Casa Nova Grill, my only problem was that the food took 40 minutes to arrive at the table.
