The server was fantastic. We all enjoyed our food. Very pleasant experience.
The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly without being intrusive.
The waitress was very attentive and was a happy smiling employee.
The food was good but not great. The dessert "cream brulee" was the worst I have ever eaten!

Excellent selections and each dish was delicious and nicely presented. Great clam chowder. Loved their rendition of wedge salad with candied walnuts instead of bacon. Paella was nice with lots of seafood. Pork chop tasty and tender. Profiteroles were great.
Great service, clean setting, generous servings, nice bread.
Website makes it look like a high-end restaurant. The reel restaurant is totally disappointing. Decor is outdated, food is somewhat imaginative but completely one-dimensional and totally not worth ingesting. Service was good. There is nothing French about this place.
Their food is delicious and very generous pasta portions! Salad was huge too!!
Great value!! We always go to lunch. Much better value. Kids menu is really good and priced between $4 to $6. Huge portions for kids and adults. My fave is fish and chips. Burgers good as well. Lots of options. Service is really good. We see the same people every time. We went late for lunch and they were very accommodating, staying open for us. Have been many times now and is one of the top two of our favorite dining spots. As we love Chinese food as well:>
I stumbled on this restaurant because of restaurant.com. What a WONDERFUL place!! I come here each trip I make to Seattle without fail. Food is fabulous, the service perfect.
The restaurant was booked at and we ended up at the bar, which we enjoyed, but a little harder to ordereat on the small table.

Service was very slow. The two wait staff were busy preparing for a large party that arrived 35 minutes AFTER we were seated. As a result we had to wait awhile on pretty much every step of our dining.
Great service, but challenged by the wine list and keeping current. Food was prepared perfectly and was delicious.
The host and server were really warm and friendly. We were treated very well and had nice interactions throughout our meal.
Great environment. Fantastic service. Phenomenal food.
The environment is quite, the servers are very friendly, fast, and helpful. The food is delicious.
Enjoyed the crabcake, fish tacos, and avocado toast.
Excellent food and drinks, nice ambiance, classy atmosphere, great service.
Without Restaurant.com we would never had experienced this restaurant. While we walked there from the ferry at Colman Dock (it's a bit of a walk) it is not in a touristy area. The atmosphere is subdued, enabling ease in conversation. Food was good and nicely presented, but above all, our server, Brandy, made the dinner especially pleasant. After dinner we took an easy walk for a concert at the nearby Moore theatre.
Excellent lunch menu and prices are very reasonable. Kids menu is good for American style foods and prices and portions are really good $4-$6. Service is really good. Manager Amy is awesome.
The potatoes on the steak frites were disappointing because they were very fine shoestring potatoes. Shoestrings that were a larger cut or regular French fries would have been better. Everything else was delicious.
The food was not good. I felt like I could get something from the frozen section of Trader Joe’s that was way way better. It was a waste of our money. The waitress was ok but not great.
The taste and service were good, but the portion was small.
I dont think the place escaped 2002. Really dated... everything.
The environment is nice but food flavor is too plane.
From start to finish, our server was very attentive to our needs. She was professional, and I would hire her as an employee.
Food was excellent! Customer service from their reservation manager was not good. She was yelling at guest and employees. Customers to not want to hear gossip or yelling at each other while they are eating. Staff need to be more professional.
Service was great. Timing of food delivery was great and presentation of the meal was excellent!
Food is well prepared, clean and attractive
The food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast.
We usually sit in the bar & this time it was Dave who helped us. Drinks are always checked & offered, water re-filled, and food always right! So nice!!
Wasn't sure what to expect with the bad and good ratings but honestly... This is the first restaurant we've eaten at that we loved and i mean loved each thing we ate. The waitress was on top of things and extremely sweet! The food was just amazing! Great job chef! Great job waitress! Over all pretty quiet fancy setting! Thank you! I would refer everyone i know to this place!
Excellent food
The staff were very conscientious. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice and quiet.
Had brunch
Cozy, good food
It took a long time for the server to come by & take my order. He did not ask how the food was or if I need anything while dining.
We were required to eat in the bar instead of the restaurant, which would have been better. The restaurant was open only to large groups.
Can have similar food ordered at Denny's for just a fraction of the price they charge. The serving is really not worth the price. One waffle for $15
Great steak! Delicious meal for all of us and excellent service.
Great food,great service!
Service was slow and there were very few people in the restaurant
Horrible service. Food had no flavor. Mediocre place. I would not recommend it at all.
Great meal. Great atmosphere.
Great seafood
The staff was very helpful & accommodating. My cell phone needed charging & we're seated near an outlet!
We had an excellent dinner and it was nice to be able to talk without a lot of noise. The background music was just right. There were a few "hiccups" but they got straightened out in the end: Be warned that there are certain things on the menu that cannot discounted in price. Be sure the server knows which menu you are ordering from as we had some confusion. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Very salty. Average tastes. Good fresh food, just not good cooks.
Lunch menu was very limited and bad.
Free valet parking. Decent wines. Cozy booths and great service: attentive, polite, friendly. Food is great, authentic Northwest-style seafood.
Food was great , atmosphere awesome and service was perfect!
Excellent service from Brandy! Delicious porkchop!!! Cudos to the Chef!!!
Excellent service from Brandy! Delicious porkchop!!! Cudos to the Chef!!!
Great ambiance, great food, great staff!
A very fine dining experience. The price fix menu is a great value. We will return!
This is a very elegant restaurant. We enjoyed the crab cake (appetizer) but the paella was unsatisfactory. The rice was soggy and the seafood seemed overcook, didn't look fresh. French onion and razor clam chowder were both very good.
It was cold in the building
The food was really delicious! I would have given this question an "excellent" except that the upholstery was a little tired and the chairs were SUPER low -- our chins were resting on the table until we moved to a booth.
the food was GREAT, the service was MORE THAN GREAT!!! my granddaughter asked for a strawberry lemonade; it was not on their menu; the manager had one made for her and it was so good she told them they should put it on the menu :)
Great service and delicious food
The food and presentation are wonderful
Good tasting food, well prepared and well served
Everything was okay, meal was fine not bad but not great or what I would expect to be over $100 even, had our meal cost $50 I would have said great, but I would expect much more from such an expensive place. I can't imagine anyone going back again. Even the ambiance is subpar. Service...okay, but not what I would expect for a $200 dine out.
The service was good and food was good except I had the $38.00 stake, actually for the second time and it has two much fat in it for a an expensive stake. To be a 14 ounce state it would have to be pretty close to a pound of butter. The other dish we had was lamb and it was superb.
Excellent food snd service
Great service tasty food.
Excellent and attentive wait staff. Food was beautifully presented and, of course, every morsel was delicious.
Prompt pleasant server and ambiance
Great food, ambiance, service.
The steak was $38 and I had to send it back.By the time the second steak came I was no longer hungry. The steak was mediocre. We had happy hour tapas and tbey were great.
Somewhat overpriced.
bad food. too expensive for bad food
Overpriced, poor-quality food.
the only negative was that the employee we first encountered upon arrival looked at his watch before seating us - lunch is served until 2pm - we arrived at 1:20 pm.it seemed impolite to check the timing when it wasn't really even that close to 2pm
The lamb shank was excellent. The reduction sauce & presentation. The bouillabaisse was somehow weak related to the soup stock. The fish items and presentation were excellent.
Service was great. They validate parking which is nice for the area!
Very cozy, friendly wait servers, delicious food and options!
I ordered a $40 steak and it was charred and too well done and almost no blue cheese to speak of and could only eat 1/4 of it as it was fatty and gristly.I want to call the restaurant and ask for money back - I have never returned food at a restaurant but I should have this time - any suggestions
Asma is our favourite server, and she is very exceptional at what she does. In fact she is the main reason we have been coming to the restaurant for 7 years!
Service was excellent. Cozy setting & food was delicious
Having looked at the menu and seen the prices and dishes they offered, we expected a higher end establishment. Unfortunately, it looks like an upscale IHOP on the inside: it's all a bunch of vinyl booths. It really is just another hotel restaurant, but the prices do not reflect this.We both ordered the steak frites. Not only was the sauce drowning all the good on the plate, but the medium rare cooked steak was not tender at all. That sauce was delicious though.Overall, for a $35 steak, I could have had much better quality and paid the same price at one of Tom Douglas' places next door or even Daniel's Broiler. While the service was great, I will not be coming back.
My husband's steak was goo, my sole wasn't very fresh.
My husband's steak was goo, my sole wasn't very fresh.
The food was great! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is really fitting for a romantic dinner.
Attentive service and excellent food Nice wine selection
Very good service, though staff seem overworked. Generally good food. The lamb shank was very good. Salad rather bland and tasteless but attractively prepared. Server was able to agree to special request on pasta dish, but the food itself was far more oily than such a dish should be and required another plate to remove from oil.
This was the best meal we had all week- a hidden gem!!
The service is a little bit slow and but the food is great.
Kelly, my server, was terrific. She completely understood my schedule and helped me have a wonderful meal.
Great food and great service
The restaurant and decor were old, but the food was great.
We dined early (5:45 pm). The restaurant was not at all crowded and the service therefore was excellent. Ian was a very personable server.
Pleasant restaurant, very good wait-staff. Food was good, though both the halibut and the pork chop were over-cooked.
Service was friendly and attentive. The food was very disappointing. The 140z of steak was one of a quality one finds at the Sizzler. The lamb was quite bland and the duck was uninspired.
Fernando gave us outstanding service! I will definitely be back.
Second time here, as great as the first. Steak frites, and the ribeye were delicious. Great service this time, much better than last. The wait staff was excellent, do not let that guy go.
Staff- friendly and easy to work with. Took care or our large party. Amy Heines was an amazing coordinator and facilitator of our birthday party. Excellent service. We'll do this again.
food was okay, but the menu on this site is out of date. Many, many of the items on this menu are now available at the restaurant. Restaurant menu was very limited. For example, there is no prime rib on the menu, nor the steam mussels.
Meal was great. Dessert - cheesecake - was horrible. It was a frozen product that you could get from Wal Mart.
Menu was dramatically different from website.no halibut or primd rib. Drinks even during happy hour were qjite expensive. Steak and soups were quite good. Service was gdeat.
Food was very fresh and tasty and service was phenomenal
Extremely knowledgable, attentive, and friendly service. Food was well prepared, presented, and tasty.
Let me start by saying that I am not the easiest grader on the planet by any means. My entire family has made their living at one time or another in the restaurant business so I'm acutely aware of the difference between bad, adequate, and good service. My wife and I talked about our dinner for the rest of the evening and how well balanced every course was. Paired with the excellent service we received from Kelly we will be visiting Brasserie Margaux again when we go to Seattle. We started with the salmon two ways with pita points and both the lox and the salmon mousse were spot on and the presentation was equally lovely. We tried two salads after that and both were perfectly dressed, well proportioned, and the balancing of ingredients was superbly done. My wife is planning on serving French Onion soup next weekend at a dinner party and she was awed by the cup that we shared openly admitting that hers wouldn't be as good but looking forward to trying to create something on the same level. Kelly served each course with the perfect amount of time between them for us to have a leisurely experience and to enjoy the 2009 Pinot she ferreted out for us. We finished the evening with my wife having duck with a side of mashed peartatoes which had exceptional flavor and complimented the duck wonderfully. I had scallops and scampi which were on a bed of delicious mushroom risotto. The only detriment to the entire evening was the family of 14 that came in at the tail end of our meal with 8 children and this is NOT the ideal restaurant for small children and my wife and I chuckled as we heard one boy exclaim he was going to have a hot dog for dinner. I'm sure their gracious server found something suitable but I'd save the hot dog and grill cheese experience for a lesser establishment and take the love of your life for dinner at Brasserie Margaux, Be sure to ask for Kelly and how her new puppies are doing.
Food was good but we went at lunch and were only offered the bar/lounge menu, so choices were limited.
great food
Delicious food, great service. Had the steak frites and ribeye, both cooked perfectly. Mussels and crab cake appetizers, both were well presented and wonderful. Service was quick and professional in a relaxing atmosphere.
I had the salmon. My husband had the bouillabaisse. The food was good, but nothing special. The service was less than great; too long between visits and she didn't even ask if we wanted a 2nd drink until we were almost finished with our meal. Overall I'm not unhappy we decided to eat here, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it again.
The service was lovely, recommendations were very accurate and the food was absolutely delicious.
We really appreciated the menu choices, and our server was very helpful. We are very picky eaters, I'm afraid, and our food was prepared exactly to our liking.
The menu was lovely--many options and all with creative food combinations; presentation was good and service was outstanding.
Our server Sidney was fabulous. So personable and attentive! Food was really good. We will come again.
The food and the service were excellent. Although it is a bit pricy, the food and service is worth the price. The presentation of the food is also amazing. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated. Its what fine dining was 20 years ago before gastro pubs and good food became popular and trendy. However, it is not "fancy" due to the fact it is connected to a hotel in downtown and there are people there with their suitcases. The restaurant could use an update to the decor and style but in the end we were more than satisfied with our meal which is really what is important!
The only things better than the AMAZING risotto was the service and ambiance.
Very clean, nice decor. Food was very good.
Food is amazing, and the service is impeccable.
Great food great service
The food was tasty. However, I ordered the black cod - the portion was so small that I was still hungry after the entrée. My husband's lamb dish was more reasonably portioned, although still small considering its pricing.
My $30 rib-eye steak was about 1/4 fat. It should be almost fatless for the price. Also, would recommend having additional specific happy-hour cocktail drink specials; recommended price either $5 or $6.
great food, excellent very friendly service, we enjoyed our meal here very much
The food was so good we went back the next night...service was fabulous!
Great service and food.
The food was very tasty and the waiter and host friendly
Bouillabaisse and Linguine Marinara with seafood were both excellent. The clam chowder was also very good. The cozy restaurant is in the Warwick Hotel, which was almost empty on a Wednesday night at 7:30. Service was excellent.
Amazing creamy parsnip soup!
our server, Brandy was excellent. Good food and wine.
The atmosphere was very warm and inviting, the food was amazing, and our server was fantastic! I plan to visit again the next opportunity that I get!
Best steak I've ever had! Great food.
Food atmosphere and service was good
We ordered the potato skin appetizer and it was phenomenal. For main dishes my girlfriend got the mushroom ravioli and I got the salmon. Once again, both were phenomenal. Portions were a little smaller than I was used to, but that's pretty much because we do not frequent 'fancy' restaurants. The bread was bottomless, so that helped fill in the gaps. Our service was really great as well. The host was excellent, providing a little conversation while we waited for a window booth. Our server was wonderful, checking in on us often without being overbearing. Even the busser was great and fun to talk to. Great overall experience!
The staff was friendly.
we moved from one table because cold air was blowing on us. then we were sat next to a busing station so was a little noisy.
Portions were a bit on the small side, but filling and tasty.
The service was good but food was not worth the price. I ordered Lamb and it was really chewy.
My wife and I had a lovely time. Our food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was comfortable. We would definitely dine here again and would recomend to others.

We went to this restaurant last year and the service and food was great. This time service was good but food was not that great. Come to find out ! They have new management and have changed a lot. It showed !! restaurant was empty. Last time it was full.
Food and service was good-most dishes very good-raviola yummy, but some dishes (risato) a bit salty
The were attentive, took care of our major concerns, and the food was wonderful.
the quality of the coffee and food seems to have slipped a little since we were last there
The atmosphere, food and service were very good. We would return
Personal service with professionalism. Very nice staff.
The food was great, as was the service. Even our waiter's assistant, Mongo, was captivating and very attentive.
Love the grilled lamb brochette and endive salad
It would be nice if you had better wines by the glass. You serve very nice food and a full bodied chardonnay by the glass would have been nice.
Everything was good. Crab cake tasted a little old and was burnt on one side (hid it in the sauce)
Excellent food. Good value. Pleasant atmosphere.
We enjoyed the food and the service was EXCEPTIONAL.
Service is great but food quality is poor at that price.
Mingo was extremely entertaining and provided that extra special quality.
The service and food was excellent. The front desk people even recoginsed us from our previous vists, they welcomed us back which was very nice. We will contue to go there.
our waitress was excellent.
The service was excellent. The food was to die for. The wine was outstanding and the atmosphere was superb. I give it a 10!!! Love this restaurant.
The endive salad didn't have endive in it and the food was a little bit salty but otherwise everything was very good. Not an extensivie wine list.
The food was and the atmosphere was amazing. Our server made us feel welcome.
The service and atmosphere was great. But the food was not worth the money.
ThIS IS A FIRT CLASS RESTAURANT WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE AND FOOD.
Food was great, restaurant uncrowded, free valet parking.
I would visit this place again but only with a certificate to pricey otherwise. Good food small portions but nice full glasses of wine! They do have some specials which would be great deals but you can not use the certificate with them and then if you want that item charge you more for it than the menu listed price. Service was ok.
We had a wonderful experience at this quaint, small but lovely little restaurant. The food was exceptional, the service was great and the atmosphere was very romantic. It is a restaurant that I will continue to enjoy coming to.
Waiter was extremely nice, but seemed very busy. He didn't check on our meals or if we needed anything else. I would have liked pepper with my pasta and my friend had no dinner fork. Staff was friendly, food tasted good, nothing was terribly wrong, but a little overpriced for the quality all round.
We've dined at the Brasserie Maraux numerous times and the food and service has always been excellent.
Brasserie Margaux had the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. It was seasoned just right, and the clams were very succulent and not to soft or to rubbery. I also had a seafood pasta dish that was amazing. The prices are mid-range, and the decor is 40's style. Highly recommended.
If there had not been some hidden construction project creating noise it would have been excellent.
Amazing food and service! Carmel cheesecake was a WOW!
Apparently, a bus person was seating the customers. We waited for him to seat a previous person. As he returned, three girls walked in and he served them first. Extremely rude!
food was great, waiters were very entertaining, quiet atmosphere
New food & bev manager is great Albie is wonderful
Fantastic food. Service a little slow (only 1 server made it through the snow and ice to get to work). But once they got going, a WONDERFUL experience. Save room for desert (but go across the street and get some chocolate mixed popcorn and a movie at Cinerama across the street). A perfect evening, in the middle of a Seattle-stalling snow/ice storm.
Service was wonderful he was kind and informative.
Always outstanding! Always glad to go back.
Our party had reservations for dinner, and though we changed the reservation time that afternoon, we were seated promptly upon arrival, as those without reservations waited for a free table. The prix fixe Christmas dinner was marginal at best. All three courses were uninspired and were poorly prepared, especially the Coulibiac of Salmon. This includes all nine dishes served that evening, as our party of 3 had between us every selection offered on the menu. If this had been our first experience at Brasserie Margaux, we would not have returned. in fairness, as it happened, we had dined there the evening before from their a la carte menu and had a wonderful experience.
LOVED IT!!!! The prime rib was excellent, the service provided by our waitress Brandy was exemplary, the water was replenished without our asking .. in all, a fabulous experience!!!
There was only one waiter for the restuarant, a managerial person had to step in. Service was marginal.
I am in culinary school so I thought it would be fun and a good experience... It was!
Portion sizes are too small; especially with the mashed potatoes. Gourmet or not, a bit more is in order, considering what it costs.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely come back.
Complementary parking is a very big plus in downtown Seattle with the limited, expensive on-street parking there.
The service was excellent! Validated parking is a real plus downtown
Thanks you for the delicious food and a great dining experience!
A wonderful dining experience as usual.
Excellent service from everyone. Everyone greeted us as we walked in. The food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back!
Waiter and hostess very good about checking on how we were doing. Very comfortable and attractive dining atmosphere.
